CUNA Mutual Group announced that Barron’s has again featured several of its products in the “100 Best Annuities” feature for 2021. The MEMBERS® Single Premium Immediate Annuity (SPIA) issued by CMFG Life Insurance Company, MEMBERS® Future Income Annuity (deferred-income annuity) issued by CMFG Life Insurance Company and MEMBERS® Zone Annuity issued by MEMBERS Life Insurance Company were ranked once more with the new addition of the CUNA Mutual Group’s ZoneChoice™ Annuity product issued by MEMBERS Life Insurance Company. In total, the four annuities were featured in 10 spots on Barron’s list.
The feature, which is a compilation of the “100 competitive contracts across different annuity categories, based on a set of assumptions about an investor’s profile. Contract terms—guarantees, benefits, rates, fees—change frequently, particularly in times of volatility or fluctuating interest rates,” exclusively ranks products from companies with an A.M. Best Financial Strength Rating of A- or above. A.M. Best is an independent rating service that evaluates financial stability and operating performance.
