Jeff joined CUNA Mutual Group in 2017, after eight years as a Regional Director with Protective Life. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Ohio State University in Columbus, and he received a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) designation from Texas Tech University. He has also been included on LIMRA’s list of “25 Rising Stars of Retirement Under 40.”
Jeff likes to spend time with his wife and daughter. He prefers to be outdoors, either playing sports or watching them.
When he works with advisors, Jeff helps them bring the value of risk control to their clients. He strives to understand advisors’ needs and provide strategies to help them grow their business.
Brian McKelvey brings more than a decade of experience in financial services to CUNA Mutual Group. Previously, Brian led the sales, marketing, and business development of third-party model portfolios for Weatherstone Capital Management, as a Business Development Consultant. Prior to Weatherstone, he served as the Director of Marketing & Business Development for Crescat Capital, overseeing the marketing and capital-raising efforts of hedge funds and long-only investment strategies to institutional investors across the globe. Additionally, Brian has held various positions with Transamerica, including Virtual RVP, Internal Wholesaler, and Supervisor, assisting with sales efforts and initiatives across variable annuity and mutual fund product lines throughout many independent broker/dealers, wire-houses, and banks.
Brian and his wife, Becky, are both Colorado natives and reside in Parker, CO, with their three young boys, Aidan, Noah, and Ethan, and their dog, Maisie. As an Eagle Scout, Brian works with youth as a leader with the BSA (formerly Boy Scouts of America), throughout Douglas County, and serves as a Board Member for the Horseshoe Ridge HOA. Having grown up in Colorado, Brian enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and anything outdoors related.
