Originally from eastern Pennsylvania, David now resides near Indianapolis, IN, with his wife, Laura, and two teenage boys. They enjoy participating together in 5 and 10K runs and the friendly competition that it brings. He and his family — his wife, two teenage sons and a beagle — love the outdoors. Being near the Rocky Mountains, they enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking and camping in the summer. It’s a beautiful place to live! During the school year, they are busy with youth sports, including competitive soccer, swimming, weightlifting and wrestling. Julie joined TruStage in 2020 as Head of Internal Sales. She brings with her 12 years of industry experience in the financial services in both the retail and wholesale capacity including advising, wholesaling and sales leadership. Julie earned her MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver. She also holds her Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA) designation.

Julie lives in the Tampa Bay area where she stays active year round in the Florida sunshine on the ocean in her kayak or paddle board or exploring the trails on her bike. She also volunteers for and sits on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay.

Ed brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry to his role at TruStage. Previously, he marketed profit sharing and 401(k) plans to sponsor groups with PlanAmerica, and he spent time at Merrill Lynch and UBS, working in the wirehouse environment. Ed also taught licensing exam preparatory courses for Kaplan Financial Education. Ed earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Diego State University.

Ed married his wife Chelle more than 30 years ago and has welcomed two children and two grandchildren since then. When he’s not helping ensure healthy futures for his clients, Ed can be found hitting the golf course, listening to live music or enjoying a bike ride.

As for his style, Ed works hard to earn and continue to build trust because it’s often clients’ deciding factor when choosing the professionals they’ll work with. He also believes in going over and above what’s expected while maintaining a positive attitude along the way.

When she’s not working to help advisors make their business streamlined and repeatable, Leilani enjoys hitting up new restaurants, staying in for her own cooking, browsing vintage markets for hidden treasures, venturing out on weekend road trips, hiking the trails and spending time with her amazing dogs, Rigby and Link.

Chris brings his impeccable leadership experience to TruStage as a purpose-driven executive with a 23-year (and counting) track record of designing and implementing industry-leading sales strategies and developing impactful investments that have collectively raised over a trillion dollars. Prior to these remarkable achievements, Chris earned his BS and MBA from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

You can find Chris striving for excellence outside the workplace, too — even at the Ironman triathlon, which he’s successfully completed. Motivation and innovation are prevalent in his household, as his wife founded and continues to run a non-profit school called UP Academy in San Mateo, CA. When he’s not working or preparing for triathlons, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs.

Chris is passionate about building teams with a focus on diversity and inclusion, taking special interest in entrepreneurs who care about Cerebral Palsy. He’s currently focused on bringing innovative solutions to financial advisors to help them have a greater impact on the people and causes they believe in most.

Tray Thompson
Tray Thompson

Tray brings close to 10 years of experience helping advisors plan with their clients for retirement. He joined TruStage™ from Goldman Sachs, where he worked as an Insurance Strategist. Prior to that, he worked for AIG Financial Distributors as a hybrid wholesaler. Tray graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in Finance.

Tray enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their beagle, Ralphie. When he’s not working, he’s traveling around the world. He has an identical twin brother and spends time gardening and doing handyman work. Tray also sits on the board of a few non-profit organizations in Southern CA, supporting foster youth and homeless youth.

Tray is a relationship builder who provides an experience that’s simple and seamless. He is detailed-oriented and focuses on offering objective and sound advice for financial professionals who are helping their clients build or distribute retirement assets.
