Eric’s 20+ year career in the financial services industry includes external annuities-related roles at MassMutual, Smith Barney and an independent marketing organization. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.
When he’s not working, Eric is an avid outdoorsman.
For more than two decades, Eric has assisted advisors in the area of guaranteed retirement income planning, insured asset accumulation and estate planning. As an advocate of professional financial planning, he understands the responsibility advisors have to provide a quality client experience, and he’s committed to helping them add value to their practice.
Preston began his career at CUNA Mutual Group as an intern for the annuity sales distribution team while still attending University of Wisconsin – Lacrosse where he pursued degrees in Finance and Economics. He was hired as a National Sales Associate (NSA) shortly after graduating. While in the NSA position, he attained his licenses and grew to learn and appreciate what advisors want and need in an annuity partner. After several months as an NSA, Preston was promoted to Annuity Sales Consultant for Southern California. He has a passion for helping people, especially in their retirement goals, and is eager to help financial advisors in Southern California.
After graduating from college, Preston moved to Vancouver, Washington, where he enjoys going to the seemingly endless list of local breweries, or just hanging out at home with his girlfriend and cat. He also enjoys cooking new foods, traveling around the Pacific Northwest, going to country music concerts, camping and taking scenic hikes all along the way.
In his role at CUNA Mutual Group, Preston strives to build strong relationships with advisors in the same way they build strong relationships with their clients. He expects to learn as much from his advisor partners as they learn from him, and strives to gain a deep understanding of their businesses and their lives. His relational approach helps him provide everything advisors might need to be the best they can be.
