Dawne began her career at CUNA Mutual Group in 2021. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rhode Island and has spent more than 21 years in the financial services industry, wholesaling with companies such as Jackson National, AIG, and Transamerica.
Dawne lives in Pomfret Center, Connecticut with her husband, Stephen, and children, Christina and Timothy along with Amelia, a Great Dane, and Harley, a chocolate Lab. In Dawne’s spare time, she enjoys reading, running, family time at the beach, watching Timothy at the hockey rink and on the baseball field and going to New England sporting events.
Dawne’s biggest goal is to build a lasting relationship with each financial advisor. Dawne listens to the needs of the advisor and the client to help find the solution. She wants to be that go-to person to help the advisor find the best solution to help the client sleep well at night knowing that they are on the right path through retirement. Dawne builds trust with each advisor so they will have a long-lasting relationship in and outside of work.
Shawn has been part of the CUNA Mutual Group call center since 2016 where he assisted customers and advisors with life insurance, annuity and retirement products. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wartburg College.
Shawn and his wife have a son and daughter and enjoy spending their free time with them—either at the pool in the summer or sledding in the winter. Shawn was born and raised in Waverly, so they also spend time with family there as well. Shawn also enjoys playing Texas hold ‘em, staying up late watching TV with his wife and making it to a Minnesota Vikings game once or twice a year.
Shawn believes that positivity is contagious, so he always tries to start out his conversations on the right foot; answering the phone with a smile and thanking the advisor or support role for everything they do. He believes it’s important to really listen to the advisor and get a clear picture of what they are looking for before diving into the different ways in which he can help them.
